Candle Care

Enjoy the full experience of your gift by following the candle care tips below.

WOODED WICKS All of our candles are made with wooden wicks.  These elegant wicks have a gentle crackle and provide a cozy ambience. To light hold the candle at an angle, light the wick at one end and let the flame flow naturally across the length of the wick. If you are new to wooden wicks it may take a few tries to get it going the first time.

THE FIRST BURN Let the candle burn until the wax melts across the entire surface of the vessel.  This prevents tunneling and creates an even burn for the duration of the candle’s life.  This may take up to 2-4 hours.

TRIM WICK Trim the wick before each burn!  Use your fingers and pinch the charred wooden wick to about ¼ of an inch.  Be careful to not leave any charred particles in the wax to keep a clean looking candle. 

SCENT Each time you burn your candle, allow the entire top layer to become a fragrant pool of liquid wax and you will get the biggest, boldest aroma throughout the room.

MADE TO ORDER  Allow made to order candles to cure for two weeks for optimal scent performance.

MAINTAIN THE BEAUTY Remove fingerprints, dust and soy residue, by gently polishing the vessel with a soft cloth once wax has hardened.

PLACEMENT Avoid placing your candles where they will be directly exposed to sunlight or harsh indoor lighting.

BURN IT SAFELY Always burn your candle on a heat resistant surface, keep it out of drafts and NEVER leave unattended while lit.  Keep away from children and pets.

KNOW WHEN TO SAY GOODBYE  Do not burn your candle all the way down.  When only ½ inch of wax remains, it’s time to let your candle go.  Please continue to enjoy the vessel as home decor.

CANDLES SHOULD NOT BE BURNED MORE THAN 4 HOURS AT A TIME.
